This morning, I formally sent a written demand to the Hillsborough County Branch of the NAACP requesting a response regarding the release and dissemination of my personnel information, their lack of meaningful response after I attempted to resolve the matter directly, and the need for clarity around any relationship between the branch and Hillsborough County Public Schools.

This is not about attacking the historic legacy of the NAACP. I respect the work the organization has done in the fight for civil rights. But that legacy does not exempt any branch from accountability, transparency, or integrity.

This is about whether organizations that claim to protect Black people are also willing to protect Black advocates when we raise uncomfortable truths. This is about whether accountability applies only when it is convenient.

This is about the 3 Keys:
Accountability. Transparency. Integrity.
