On January 15th, I boarded my flight to Medellín, Colombia and unknowingly stepped into one of the most transformational seasons of my life.

Living abroad has been more than a change of scenery—it’s been a soul shift. For the first time in a long time, I allowed myself to breathe. I’m so grateful to have a partner who not only supports my rest but insists on it, even when I try to outrun it.

I slowed all the way down, sat with myself, and stopped performing for systems that never had my peace in mind. The hustle had me chasing purpose while running on empty, and I’m done with that. This reset has allowed me to dream and reimagine what I desire my life to look like.

As an entrepreneur of 11 years, I’ve worn many hats, built partnerships across the globe, and poured into countless organizations, businesses, and change agents. But the journey hasn’t been easy.

For the past few years, I found myself in a battle I never imagined dealing with—a trademark war between “Teach for the Culture” and “Teaching for the Culture.” And let me tell you, the cost was steep. It drained my creative energy , disrupted my peace, emptied my pockets, and dysregulated my nervous system.

And we won. With the power of the -ING.
But victory comes with a cost.

What they don’t tell you is that winning the battle still comes with loss. Nobody talks about the aftermath. The silence. The starting over. For me, it meant rebuilding everything from the ground up. Systems, strategies, and even my own sense of direction.

I’m so blessed to say I can finally see the light. I feel the love. I feel the support. And taking this break to breathe, to dream, to just be. Clarity that unlocked my creativity again. Clarity that made space for music. For writing. For content that actually brings me joy.

This season of rest has reminded me who I am and what I carry. I’m so excited to keep sharing this life of rebuilding after the battle.
